Basketball opens tonight against New Hampshire without the services of Akida Mclain and Sean Williams. That leaves a lot of opportunity for Shamari Spears to show his stuff with the depletion of the frontcourt. Rumors are he is a smaller Craig Smith.Its also the beginning of the Tyrese Rice era at the heights. He does not have Louis Hinnant to fall back upon for ball control and floor leadership. If he gets rattled or is in foul trouble then establishing a half court set becomes significantly tougher.
